There are so many ways in the English language to say the same thing. For example you can say ” I don’t understand” but there are many other ways to say this. In some situations an alternative expression is more appropriate. The following list gives examples of the many different ways we can say ” I don’t understand” :
Sorry I don’t quite follow…
I’m not sure I got that…
Sorry it’s not so clear….
I’m not with you…..
Do you mean……?
What do you mean…?
I don’t know what you mean…
Perhaps I have misunderstood…..
